I tried to post this update from the hospital, but the Blogger app didn't want to corporate.
The Nissen Fundoplication procedure went well, and achieved the goal of stopping my reflux. I just had a very rough couple of days recovering from the surgery. I was in excruciating pain . An X-ray showed that I had a large amount of air in my abdominal cavity and this was causing my diaphragm to spasm, The spasms have become significantly decreased and my pain level is now normal for this type of procedure. That was a rough couple of days.
I was released from the hospital this afternoon and I'm on an all liquid diet for two weeks before heading back for my follow up visit.
